Delphi Panels

Collection and validation of data from experts.

Delphi Panels

The Delphi method is a systematic, consensus-oriented, multi-staged group survey with the goal of bundling the expertise of single group members to be able to generate reliable statements about a pre-defined object of investigation.

The process is structured in consecutive questioning rounds. In each round, participants are questioned separately, independently and anonymously. Subsequent to each questioning round, the answers of the past round are processed. These answers are then summarized in order to present them again in a processed and condensed form to the participants. Therefore, each participant has the ability to review his statement in comparison to the others. Each participant can match, classify, or alter his statement in the next round. The different process steps are repeated until a sufficiently high consensus has been achieved.
